Anderson & the Legacy of Cthulhu is based on a series of short stories "Arkham Cycle" and "Cthulhu Stories" of the famous science fiction writer of the twentieth century, Howard Phillips Lovecraft (Howard Phillips Lovecraft).
According to the story the protagonist of the game, a New York private detective Robert D. Anderson (Robert D. Anderson) is sent to Germany on the eve of World War II to investigate the worst case in his career - to find their roots. Arriving at the castle ancestors, Anderson finds some secret cult among the soldiers of the SS under the name "The order of the black sun".
