Microsoft mới công bố Windows 7 RTM (Release To Manufacturing - phiên bản hoàn thiện sẽ được đưa vào sản xuất, đóng gói) nhưng nhiều người đã có trong tay hệ điều hành này từ các trang chia sẻ file.

Giám đốc Microsoft Steve Ballmer cho biết RTM không có thêm tính năng gì mới so với bản Release Candidate mà chỉ được vá một số lỗi và bổ sung vài thay đổi nhỏ.

Bản Build 7600.16385 bị phát tán trên một số website từ 16/7 và khi Microsoft tuyên bố vào ngày 22/7 rằng đó chính là đoạn mã hoàn thiện (final code) mà họ sẽ cung cấp cho nhà sản xuất, hàng nghìn người đã "săn tìm" bản này trên các dịch vụ chia sẻ ngang hàng.

Mã Build 7600 đầu tiên xuất hiện trên BitTorrent là bản 64 bit tiếng Trung, tiếp đó bản 32 bit và 64 bit tiếng Anh, Đức, Italy... cũng lần lượt được đưa lên. Microsoft không thể ngăn chặn tình trạng chia sẻ lậu các sản phẩm của họ trên mạng. Trước đó, Windows 7 Beta và Release Candidate cũng bị rò rỉ trước ngày công bố chính thức.

Theo lộ trình của tập đoàn phần mềm Mỹ, các chuyên gia đăng ký thành viên trên MSDN hoặc TechNet sẽ nhận được Windows 7 RTM vào 6/8 còn người dùng phổ thông phải chờ đến 22/10. Giá nâng cấp từ XP và Vista lên Windows 7 nằm trong khoảng 119,99 USD đến 219,99 USD, còn bản hoàn thiện có giá 199,99 - 319,99 USD.

1 GB of RAM (32-bit); 2 GB of RAM (64-bit)
16 GB of available disk space (32-bit); 20 GB of avaiable disk space (64-bit)
DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver.

Install Notes :

1-Install Win 7.
2 - Disable UAC.
3 - Run the ToolKit.
4 - Click on Activation and OEM settings.
5 - Click on Activate Windows 7.
6 - Write your new Product Key down when displayed.
7 - Enter your new Product Key when prompted after your PC reboots.
8 - Click on Start/All Programs/Windows Update and update your new system.

1 - DO NOT change the ToolKit's default settings.
2 - Orbit30 WILL release a new ToolKit when required.
