Synopsis:
At age nine, Yeo-min (played by Kim Seok) is a third-grader and the protector of justice in his village nestled deep in the mountains. Yeo-min beats a macho boy who harasses his friends. Yeo-min shares his lunch box with his friend who lives alone with his sister. He even peddles ice cream and cleans a piano lesson room in order to earn money to buy a pair of glasses for his mother.
His life, however, turns into chaos after the proud and haughty Jang Urim transfers in from her Seoul school. She lures every boy’s attention because of her dazzling beauty, but she has a dark side. Although Yeo-min makes every effort to woo her, things do not turn out so favorably.
In this movie, grown-up actresses just play minor roles, while the child actors and actresses appear as adult characters who seem to have already experienced the ups and downs of life.

Yeo-min, 9 tuổi, học lớp 3 là "thủ lĩnh" của bọn trẻ trong làng. Yeo-min sẽ đánh trả lại những ai bắt nạn bạn của mình. Cậu bé còn chia sẽ phần ăn trưa với một người bạn sống một mình với người chị. Vào mùa hè Yeo-min đi bán kem và lau chùi phòng học piano để có thể kiến được tiền mua một đôi kính cho người mẹ có một mặt bị hỏng của mình.
Cuộc sống của cậu bé bị xáo trộn khi một ngày Jang Urin, một cô bé đầy kiêu căng chuyển đến từ Seoul. Cô bé thu hút sự quan tâm của các cậu bé trong lớp bằng vẻ dễ thương của mình nhưng thật ra Jang Urin có nỗi buồn của riêng cô bé. Yeo-min đã nôt lực để theo đuổi Jang Urin nhưng mọi chuyện ko theo ý muốn.
Trong bộ phim này, những diên viên lớn tuổi chỉ đóng vai trò phụ, trong khi các diễn viên nhí lại đóng vai trò như những diễn viên người lớn. Tính cách các cô cậu bé dường như là những người trải nghiệm qua những thăng trầm của cuộc sống.
